The Rail Expansion
The Rail Expansion was a period of heavy railway and train infrastructure development in Luxemburg during the 18th and 19th centuries, led initially by Neutron NRG and later joined by Calcite Industries and Skank Industries.
Background
Luxemburg’s industrialisation required expanding its transport network. The railway system became the primary infrastructure investment of the era.
What Happened
Neutron NRG led development in the late 18th century. Calcite Industries and Skank Industries followed with their own railway expansion programmes in the mid-19th century.
The Tri-Fish Station adjacent to Glaceus Arena was renovated by Neutron NRG as part of this expansion.
Aftermath
The rail network built during this period formed the infrastructure backbone of modern Luxemburg. Its progressive degradation in the 20th and 21st centuries — as Neutron NRG’s extraction attempts damaged the environment — marks one of the visible symptoms of Luxemburg’s slow collapse.
