Cliffhanger
Cliffhanger is a town adjacent to Bellum Castle, the first settlement connected to the Bellum Castle Trade Route in 1241, and the headquarters of Neutron NRG from 1933.
History
1241: Cliffhanger became the first settlement connected to the newly established Bellum Castle Trade Route. Its proximity to the castle made it the natural commercial gateway for merchants moving through the mountain passes.
Post-Avari: Cliffhanger continued as a trade hub through Luxemburg’s formation and industrialisation, maintaining its commercial position due to its location on the route.
1933: Neutron NRG established its headquarters in Cliffhanger. The town became the operational centre for the company’s energy research and extraction activities.
1933–21st century: As Neutron NRG’s extraction attempts caused progressive environmental damage to Luxemburg, Cliffhanger as the company’s HQ was the administrative source of those decisions.
Notes
What was Cliffhanger’s character before Neutron NRG arrived? Did the town’s population benefit from or resist the company’s presence?
