Elias Castillon
Born: 1249, Bellum Castle, night of Ava Montclair's death Died: 1365, Vulcan Islands — death formed the Castillon Rift Origin: Bellum Castle (raised in the Avari empire) Affiliation: Fifth holder of the Curse of Ravana. Not a founding member of The Avari.
Elias Castillon was the son of Lucien Alvaro de Castillon and Ava Montclair, included in the Ravana Ruins ritual in 1282 by virtue of being Lucien's son rather than as a founding Avari. He spent decades as the group's moral outsider, and in 1365 deliberately routed his share of the Curse of Ravana into the earth rather than allow Severin Falkenrath to take it.
Background¶
Son of Lucien Alvaro de Castillon and Ava Montclair. Born the night his mother died in childbirth. Grew up inside the Avari empire as Lucien's son.
History¶
Included in the Ravana Ruins ritual in 1282 at age 33, alongside the four founding members. Received one share of the Curse of Ravana automatically. His inclusion was as Lucien's son, not as a founding member — he had not been part of The Avari prior to the ritual.
He remained a peripheral figure within the group throughout the empire's rule. From the 1340s onward he argued with his father for the Avari to end their rule, without effect.
Following Lucien Alvaro de Castillon's murder by Severin Falkenrath in 1362, Elias went into hiding on the Vulcan Islands — a remote island chain far to the southeast of Luxemburg, largely unknown to the mainland.
In 1365, Severin tracked him to the islands and confronted him. Rather than be taken, Elias jumped from the cliff. The Curse of Ravana energy released on impact, tearing open the earth and forming the Castillon Rift. His share entered the land instead of transferring to Severin.
Relationships¶

Notes¶
Whether Elias understood the full scope of Severin Falkenrath's plan before the killings began, or only after, is undocumented. His awareness affects how deliberate his final act was.
