Camp 0

Camp 0 was a research base in the Wet Lands, founded by The Pioneers in 2565 to study the Curse of Ravana at the Ravana Ruins. Its research concluded around 2640, and the site was later redeveloped into the Kupfer Arenal tourist complex.

History

Camp 0 was established in 2565 by the expedition that The Pioneers flew south aboard The Copper Maiden. It was sited at the Ravana Ruins to give direct access to the source of the Curse of Ravana. The pioneers built the Pioneers Airstrip (later Citadel Airport) beside it and used the nearby village of Great Question as a hub and testing ground.

From 2568 the base was funded by Kupfer Guild Inc., the mining company that moved into the Wet Lands after the region was opened. The guild built The Citadel as a hub and port serving the base.

Research at Camp 0 concluded around 2640, and the site was left largely abandoned. Kupfer Guild Inc. later redeveloped it into the Kupfer Arenal tourist complex, converting the Camp 0 Old Laboratory into a nightclub and cafe.
